Welcome to Project GEOS!

Thanks for your interest in Project GEOS (Growing Environmental Opportunities through Service) at the Conservation Trust for North Carolina.

AmeriCorps Project GEOS  is now recruiting members for the 2015 service year!

Project GEOS is a ten-month national service program in environmental education and outreach hosted by the Conservation Trust for North Carolina. Our program seeks to reconnect people with the environment and to develop future leaders in conservation. AmeriCorps members in Project GEOS will develop service projects that help remove barriers to environmental education among North Carolinians, especially in underserved areas of the state, as well as help expand the diversity of backgrounds among conservation leaders in the state.

We offer a living stipend, health insurance, childcare assistance, and professional development opportunities. Participants who complete the program will receive an education award of $5,730. Applicants should be able to commit to the entire 10-month program year, which runs from March 30, 2015 to January 30, 2016.

Application instructions are available by clicking on "Apply to serve with Project GEOS" above.

Host sites will begin reviewing applications immediately and positions will be closed once they are filled, so we suggest you apply as soon as possible!

If you have questions, please feel free to contact us at americorps@ctnc.org. Thanks!
